Vance Mitchell

Owner of IFG Idaho

Vance has been an entrepreneur and businessowner for the majority of his life. He owned a chemical company after producing a cleaning product known in most businesses and homes. He served in the Air Force which brought him to Idaho in 1993. After graduating from Boise State University in 2003 with his degree in Fire Science he worked as a Paramedic and Fireman in Idaho while teaching various classes in this field at BSU.

Vance has worked in the financial/insurance field for the past 18 years. He worked with Legal Shield for 12 years with many businessowners in the Idaho and Utah area. He then moved into insurance where he works now with Mortgage Protection, Final Expense and is an expert with Retirement and Fixed Index Annuity strategy.

Vance is also an avid Bass Fisherman and competes in many of the local Idaho bass fishing groups. When Vance is not working he can usually be found on Lake Lowell looking for that big catch.

Tina Smith Slokan, CISR

Partner

Tina started in working in an insurance office during her senior year of high school as a requirement of her business major. She continued working in insurance while she attended college and obtained her Property & Casualty license in 1990.

She worked strictly with Personal Lines on the agency side for the first 10 years of her career before she transitioned to Commercial Lines. She was Life & Health licensed in 2009 and obtained her CISR Designation shortly thereafter. She also worked as a Commercial Renewal Underwriter for a large surplus broker owned by Brown & Brown.

She has commercial clients she continues to work with; yet, she has been more focused on working with Mortgage Protection, Final Expense Life insurance as well as Annuities for the past 6 years. She is also Medicare certified and is dedicated to helping seniors navigate the confusing world of Medicare.

With almost 34 years of experience she is an asset to have on our team as she works alongside Vance, as his partner, to run the company.

Cody Mitchell

Agent

Cody enlisted in the Marine Corps out of high school and served our country from 2015 to 2019.  He was a Corporal in the Infantry where he spent his time as both a rifleman and a machine gunner. 

After he left the Marine Corps he became certified as a Commissioner and worked throughout the midwestern part of the United States.

He decided to settle down locally and set bigger goals for himself where he joined us at IFG Idaho.  He obtained his Idaho Life Producer license in March of 2021 and started working in the field immediately.

Cody purchased his first home in the Treasure Valley and is looking forward to working with other new homeowners and working with them on their Mortgage Protection Life plans.
